It’s National Delurking Week
I saw this by John Scalzi at Whatever – apparently it is National Delurking Week (who knew?) where lurkers everywhere are encouraged to step forward and reveal themselves (please don’t take the word 'reveal' too seriously unless you should ;-). So, please take the time to post a quick comment if you're interested – take the opportunity to offer any suggestions or other general comments, introduce yourself, or just say hi. I only censor blatant advertising comments – which I might suspend for this post since they should technically be allowed. We’ll see.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that ‘delurk’ sounds like one of the curious sounds heard while in the bathroom?

I'm a fairly new visitor here, came here from a link on Carl's blog.
Delurk over
i'm not sure if i count as a lurker, since i posted a couple of replies, but hey... i delurked on scalzi's blog and it was painless! :D
btw, i just got vellum today, hope i like it as much as you did.
I'm a recent reader. I started checking Neth Space as part of prep work for developing a new group blog for chicago-sf.org
Delurk is definitely a bathroom sound, but in no way a painful one. Perhaps 'kerwoosh' would indicate a more painful experience preceded by agonizing gasps.
Welcome all lurkers, semi-lurkers, stalkers, regulars, and connoisseurs of odd bathroom sounds. I hope you all continue to visit and as I said any suggestions are welcome.
-Fence. Welcome and thanks to Carl for the link - several hits over the last couple days have come from your blog.
-Jen. You have certainly posted before, so I suppose you are a regular. Good luck with Vellum - it is a challenge that I felt was well worth it.
-Redag. Welcome and good luck with the new group blog.
-Carl. As I said above, thanks for the link. I added you to the blogs link here earlier - nice site. And I agree, a 'delurk' or 'kaploosh' sound is definately preferable to a 'kerwoosh' or just a plain 'woosh'.
i am now delurking
Don't have any idea how I came to put your blog on my bookmarks list but it's there. I check it at least once a day, now and then you find a book I haven't yet. Keep up the good work. Relurking now.
Not so much a lurker as a feed reader. And since I typically don't have much to say, I hang around in the background.
So maybe I am a lurker after all.
I lurk on lots of blogs and I've been reading here for six moths or so. I like your reviews.
"Lurking" implies some kind of long-term presence... I'm more of a quickly-sneak-in-then-dash-out-again person. Hello anyway!
Thanks to all the delurkers out there and I hope you all keep coming back. Oh, and I do encourage feed readers - it's a great way to read blogs and know when they are updated. I have quite a long list.
